eOx® AeroTech 2000

eOx® AeroTech 2000 is ready to use a product that can be used for the cleaning and degreasing operations of turbine engine components.

EXAMPLES OF RESULTS

1. Fuel nozzle cleaned with eOx Aero-Tech 2000

Problem: Clean fuel nozzle on the air/oil cooler” control unit.

Test process: Nozzle was placed into Branson Ultrasonic 2510 cleaner filled with eOx AeroTech 2000. The ultrasonic bath was warmed to 120°F (49°C). Next, the nozzles were placed in a cleaner bath.

The ultrasonic cleaner was run for 15 minutes. Nozzles were then removed and rinsed in water.

Nozzles were inspected and found to be free of contamination.

2. Magnesium gear case cleaned with eOx Aero-Tech 2000

Problem: Clean a magnesium helicopter gear case

1) Scrap case was cut into pieces.

2) One end of the case was placed into Branson Model 2510 ultrasonic cleaner filled with eOx® AeroTech 2000.

3) Ultrasonic bath was run for 15 minutes with a bath temperature of 120°F.

4) Cleaned area of the case was metal sprayed with no adhesion failure.

3. Flame Arrester Assembly from a GE CFM 56 turbine engine cleaned with eOx AeroTech 2000

The Flame Arrester is exposed to an average temperature of 1184° F and becomes contaminated with carbon and coke in a GE CFM 56 turbine engine. By soaking the arrester in eOx AeroTech 2000 for 4 hours at 120º F and then rinsing, the majority of contamination was removed, and there was no stock loss or degradation of the part.

eOx AeroTech 2000 is a new aqueous cleaner designed to clean turbine engine parts and conforms to ARP 1755B.
