PR 2870 Non Chromate corrosion Inhibitive Sealant

Description

PR-2870 is a light weight, non-chromate corrosion inhibitive sealant. It has a service temperature range from -80°F (-62°C) to 250°F (121°C), with intermittent excursions up to 300°F (149°C). This material acts as an effective corrosion inhibitor when used with aluminum alloys or with dissimilar metals.
The cured sealant maintains elastomeric properties after limited exposure to both jet fuel and aviation gas.

Class ACollapse/Expand

PR-2870 Class A is a two-part, epoxy cured Permapol® P-3.1 polythioether compound. The uncured material is suitable for application by brush up to a thickness of 25 mils. It cures at room temperature to form a resilient sealant having excellent adhesion to common aircraft substrates.

Class CCollapse/Expand

PR-2870 Class C-12/24 & C-48 are two-part, epoxy cured Permapol® P-3.1 polythioether compound. The uncured material is a roller-grade liquid suitable for application by brush, extrusion gun or spatula. It cures at room temperature to form a resilient sealant having excellent adhesion to common aircraft substrates.

Standard PackagingCollapse/Expand

PR-2870 comes in the following packaged configuration:

  • Semkit® package - a complete package assembly that stores, mixes, and applies sealant. Semkit® packages eliminates the labor intensive task of measuring and handling materials, and prevents contamination when opening and closing can kits.
  • Model 693 Semkit® with 3.8 fl. oz. of sealant in a 6 oz. cartridge
  • Premixed and Frozen (PMF) - Pre-measured mixed material and frozen at extreme low temperature (also shipped and stored frozen). PMF material is the most convenient package configuration for high usage applications, simply thaw and use.
  • PMF 5-3/4 fl oz. of sealant in a 6 oz. cartridge
