We are Bergdahl Associates, leading distributors of aerospace and industrial adhesives, sealants, dispensing systems and cleaners.

For those of you who prefer “just the facts,” we have listed the “vitals” of our business below for your satisfaction.  Others are about to be treated to a brief history of our company.

It all began when as a young man, Ed Bergdahl worked in engineering sales for EDO Corp., an aerospace company in Long Island, NY.  He enjoyed working with the Navy and the Pentagon. Pretty exciting stuff.  Married, raising a family, building his life, Ed did what every entrepreneurial; risk-taking American approaching forty years of age does: he picked up his family and moved to California to start his own business.   With his industrial sales background in tact, Ed became a distributing company for SEMCO, a company that eventually made products for the aerospace industry.  Bergdahl Associates’ main focus was on providing sealants and adhesives to the needs of the entire aerospace industry.  After over 20 years of growth and success, Ed in his sixties looked toward retirement in Nevada and moved his business there in 1978.  In Nevada, his daughter, Christine Bergdahl-May and son-in-law, “Parky” May would become even more involved in Bergdahl Associates.  Sadly, Ed passed away in 2005, but the Bergdahl family remain committed to the foundation Ed built on service to the customer, no matter what.

Under the helm of the Mays, Bergdahl Associates has continued to grow and acquire new products…partly by accident, rather than design.  You see, most of you will easily relate to our mindset.  Once presented with a problem or a question we’re immediately not able to solve, we won’t rest until a solution or answer is found.  With the desire to complement the needs of customers, Bergdahl Associates has expanded its product lines into cleaners, wipes and industrial solvents, thus expanding our market base in the process.  So, we thank you for your questions.  They not only aid in hopefully helping you with your needs, they help our business as well.  Perhaps, this is what is meant by the term “win/win.”
